NILSA is maintained to raise awareness and respect for Indigenous peoples across "Canada", and to advocate for Indigenous peoples, nations and laws.
Student Networking & SupportNILSA aims to foster the growth of Indigenous law students, to maintain the unique Indigenous identity of each student, and to foster respect for the efforts of each Member of the National Indigenous Law Students’ Association, both past and present.

Community Building & ConnectionNILSA welcomes participation from all students, faculty members, and staff of Canadian Law Schools, be they Indigenous or non- Indigenous, in a positive spirit of interconnectivity and inclusion.
